The device fastens a lead to a conductive rail e.g. of aluminium or copper. A holder plate (11) surrounding the rail at its long edges (15,16) is attached to the rail (10). The holder plate is attached such that it cannot rotate relative to the rail (10). The rail (10) is connected to the holder plate (11) by means of a screw (19). The screw is fixedly held to the holder plate, such that it cannot be lost, by means of a transverse rod (22). The head (20) of the screw and the transverse rod (22) receive the conductive rail (10) and the holder plate (11) between them. The screw shaft fastens the connector tongue with a bore for the lead.
