The motor, bolted to the gearbox (2), drives a worm shaft tangential to the main cavity (13) containing all the other components, concentrically fitted over a central spindle (4). The gear-wheel (3), meshing with the worm, has a concentric inner skirt (12) from which three equally spaced radial fingers (7) project inwards. These fit chamfered (90) notches (8) in the disc damper (5). Three alternate notches accept fingers (10) projecting from the rear face of the final driven member (11), e.g., a windless, or a drive pinion. An annular seal (9) fits between the gear-wheel skirt (12) and the drum housing (13). Resilient motor shaft end-stops, minimising axial play, are also described.
|
