System for labelling polyurethane foams. The system consists of incorporating microparticles in the mixture of the components of the foam while in the liquid phase, that is the isocyanate and the premix of polyol and its additives immediately before the stage of foam formation with the said mixture, the microparticles not forming part of the molecular structure of the foams during the said mixing, being dispersed uniformly within it and having a different colour from the said foam which causes the latter to have a mottled or jasper appearance, of any colour and shade. These microparticles may be organic or inorganic, rigid or elastic, and may also have fluorescent or phosphorescent properties, but always have a colour which is different from the foam proper.
