<p>A plurality of water supply valves 5, especially for supplying items of sanitary ware 1, 2 etc have magnetic bistable solenoid actuators (Fig 5) independently drivable by pulse signals from a common control circuit 6 powered by a local dry cell battery 7. The valves may each be controlled by a switch to operate for a predetermined "fill" time and by another switch to close the valve before the predetermined time has elapsed or thereafter for opening the valve for a limited number of top/up cycles. Lock-out switches may prevent opening of the valves for predetermined intervals and a water temperature sensor may prevent filling if the temperature is above a threshold value.</p> |
