<p>A reactive power compensation method for alternating current (AC) supplied onboard mains of a vehicle to which is connected an inductive consumer (load) (10,11,20), in which one or more electrical motor (21) assigned for driving specified onboard units (21,22), are utilised as reactive power generators for the onboard mains (9,16,17). Preferably overexcited synchronous motors (21) are specifically used as reactive power generators.</p> |
