<p>Aminocarbamates of polyalkyl or polyalkenyl <Italic>N</Italic>-hydroxyalkyl succinimides having the formula:
<Chemistry id="chema01" num="0001"><Image id="ia01" he="33" wi="75" file="IMGA0001.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" /></Chemistry><UnorderedLists id="ula01" listStyle="none"><ListItem>or a fuel soluble salt thereof; wherein</ListItem><ListItem>R is a polyalkyl or polyalkenyl group having an average molecular weight in the range of about 450 to about 5,000;</ListItem><ListItem>n is an integer from 2 to 5; and</ListItem><ListItem>A is a polyamine moiety having at least one basic nitrogen atom, wherein the polyamine is connected to he carbonyl group through one of its nitrogen atoms to form a carbamate linkage.</ListItem></UnorderedLists></p><p>The compounds of formula I are useful as fuel additives for the prevention and control of engine deposits.</p> |
