PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus and its control method, and a computer readable memory whereby a use efficiency for a buffer memory to develop record image data is improved and a recording operation is carried out at high speed. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 detects a flag showing a start command for a one-scan recording operation of a recording head 11, and judges whether or not processing of recording image data cannot be continued. The recording head carries out the one-scan recording operation every time the flag is detected. Moreover, when it is judged that the data-processing cannot be continued, the one-scan recording operation of the recording head 11 is forcibly executed even if the flag is not detected.
