1. The method of measuring displacements consists in lighting an optic fibre ruler with a laser light beam. The light signal is transmitted to a detector. The detector converts the light signal into an electric signal. The latter is amplified and the displacement of the optic-fibre ruler is determined with respect to the laser. Unique characteristics: The laser beam lights the opti-fibre ruler (2). At least two light signals are transmitted from the ruler to detectors (2) by means of optic fibres. Each of the light signals is converted into an electric signal. Each electric signal is amplified and digitally processed. Then, the processed electric signals are analysed and each signal is compared to the registered distance model. The displacement is determined in a continuous analysis of the light signal received by the optic-fibre ruler. |
