<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a strong grease absorbing paper having high absorbability by composing the absorbing paper out of a porous film obtained by orienting a polyolefin film to make the film porous. SOLUTION: This absorbing paper is composed of a porous film obtained by orienting a polyolefin film to make the film porous. The polyolefin film may be a single layered film but preferably is a laminated film, especially a triple or more layer film with alternatively laminated polyethylene layers and polypropylene layers. Preferably, the laminated film is heat-treated before the orientation, and subjected to a low temperature orientation, and the oriented film is further subjected to a high temperature orientation. The magnification in the low temperature orientation is preferably 5-200%, and that in the high temperature orientation is preferably 100-400%. The porosity of the porous film is preferably 20-90% and the maximum pore diameter is preferably 0.02-20μm.</p> |
