PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a markedly novel liquid ejection principle by a method wherein a generated bubble, a liquid at a side of an ejection nozzle and a liquid at a supplying side are suppressed by a structure of a movable member and a whole liquid passage. SOLUTION: In a liquid ejecting head, a liquid passage 10 having a bubble generating region 11 except an ejection nozzle 18 becomes a substantially closed space by virtue of the contact of a displaced movable member 31 with a stopper 64 and extinguishing of bubbles is started in the closed space condition. A low liquid passage resistance region 65 having a low liquid resistance is provided in the liquid passage 10 at the upstream side with respect to a stopper 64 in terms of a flow from a common liquid chamber 13 to the ejection nozzle 18.
