PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain skin-protecting cream excellent in water repellent property and durability in kitchen work. SOLUTION: This skin-protecting cream contains a volatile cyclic silicone oil (e.g. octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane or decamethylcyclopentasiloxane) which is a volatile oil or volatile isoparaffin (e.g. light liquid paraffin), a solid-like oil (e.g. natural wax), semi-solid-like oil (e.g. lanolin or vaseline) or a liquid oil (natural squalane) which are each a film-forming component, preferably further scaly powder (e.g. silicone hydrophobic tale powder or sericite) and an oil-soluble medicine (e.g. glycyrrhetic acid derivative or oil extract of Artemisiae capillaris flos) or a water-soluble medicine and does not contain water and a surface active agent (e.g. emulsifying agent). Thereby, when the skin-protecting cream is applied to the surface of skin of hands, etc., a film excellent in water repellent property, durability, resilience and flexibility and free from stickiness is formed after volatile oil is volatilized.
