摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optimum engine performance. SOLUTION: An amount of fuel fed to an engine during operation at low/high temperature is controlled by using a different class of a fuel speed map designed so as to correct a fuel amount signal. Using whichever class of the map is selected by using a switching mechanism 78 based on an engine cooling water temperature. A low temperature torque map 74 generates a signal representing a continuation time limit injecting fuel when the engine cooling water temperature is lower than a threshold value level. A correction factor obtained from a low temperature smoke map 76 is used for adjusting a low temperature torque map signal, and the amount of fuel is limited for preventing excessive smoke. A fuel continuation time limit signal from a standard temperature torque map 70 is compared with a fuel continuation time limit signal from a standard temperature smoke map 72 to select smaller one of both the two signals as an output for a fuel injector when the engine cooling water temperature is higher than the threshold value level.
