PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latent-heat heat accumulator composition having a freezing point within a relatively low temperature range (from 5 to 25 deg.C), which is used as a heat accumulator in air-conditioning systems. SOLUTION: Against 100 pts.wt. calcium chloride hydrate having a composition of the general formula: CaCl2.nH2O (wherein n is from 4.5 to 6.5), from 10 to 35 pts.wt. polyhydric alcohol, from 1 to 30 pts.wt. one or more halides of alkali metals or alkali earth metals (except for strontium chloride and barium chloride), from 0.1 to 20 pts.wt. strontium chloride and/or barium chloride and, if required, from 0.1 to 20 pts.wt. one or more fibrous minerals such as atapalgite, wollastonite or sepiolite are mixed to prepare the titled composition.
