PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately feed the sheets one by one by providing a deforming member for deforming a sheet sucked by a sheet sucking and carrying means so as to form a space between a following sheet in the sheet sucking and carrying means at a sheet sucking surface side so as to be moved in the condition that the sheet is sucked. SOLUTION: When a swing duct is raised, since a negative pressure is generated in the swing duct, a flexible film 208 is deformed by the external pressure in the condition that a sheet P is sucked. A space (g) is generated between the sheet P sucked by the swing duct and a following sheet P. When the sucked sheet P is passed a separating opening part 206 by feeding rollers, degree of the negative pressure inside of the swing duct is reduced, and the flexible film is returned to the original position by the elasticity of itself. At this stage, an edge of the sheet P exists within a deformation area of a sheet sucking surface (deformation area of the flexible film 208), and the edge of the sheet P is desirably positioned at a position for obtaining the maximum moved variable of the deformation area.
