PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent bag contents from getting into the operating part in the housing of various mechanisms of a bag opener and to maintain the operation of these mechanisms normal for a long time. SOLUTION: This relates to a bag opener which closes an opening part 12 with a door 16 and cuts and opens a bag S by a cutter 80 after the bag S filled with predetermined contents is transported onto a table 30 in a housing 10 from its opening 12, and which collects the contents dropped by tilting the table 30 in the condition with the cut opening of the bag S facing downward. The open and close mechanism of the door 16, the operating part in the housing 10 of each operating mechanism of the table 30 and the cutter 80 are set to perform rotating movement.
