PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the mounting structure of a dash insulator to facilitate temporary locking and improve sound insulation properties without increasing a cost. SOLUTION: A dash lower panel 5 extending in the direction of a car width is arranged between an engine room 3 and a car room 4 and a front pillar inner 7 is joined together. The front pillar 7 comprises a rearward extension part 7b extending toward the rear of a car body 2; and an inward extension part 7c further extending to an inward part than the rearward extension part 7b. A dash insulator 1 consists of a sound absorbing layer 1a and a rubber layer 1b. The sound absorbing layer 1a is brought into surface contact with the dash lower panel 5 from the car room 4 side, an end part 1c is bent at an acute angle along the rearward extension part 7b, and a tip part 1d is forced into contact with the inward extension part 7c for mounting. This constitution generates a repulsion force at the end part 1c and presses the inward extension part 7c.
