PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure having excellent erosion resistance and heat retaining property to molten metal of aluminum alloy, etc., and sufficient strength to the heat shock and therefore, providing the long service life, in a plunger sleeve for die casting machine. SOLUTION: An inner cylinder 10 is fitted to the inner peripheral surface at a portion near the rear end side of the steel-made plunger sleeve body 3, i.e., to the dropping part of the molten metal and the portion surrounding there. In this inner cylinder 10, an opening hole part is arranged as the same way at the position corresponding to an opening hole part 3a for pouring the molten metal arranged at the plunger sleeve body 3 side. This inner cylinder 10 is inserted from the rear end side of the plunger sleeve body 3 and fixed with a cap 8. The inner cylinder 10 is constituted by arranging a lining layer 12 with alumina thermal-spraying on the inner peripheral surface of a carbon steel-made (S48C) base material 11.
