PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and safely, forcibly open a sliding nozzle without oxidizing molten metal at the time of clogging a flowing-out hole with the solidified metal, with respect to a tundish provided with the sliding nozzle. SOLUTION: At the time of starting the casting of a continuous casting with the tundish 3 provided with the tundish nozzle 5 forming the flowing-out hole 12 in the inner part, and stopping the flowing-out of the molten steel into a mold 4 by clogging the flowing-out hole with the solidified metal 2 developed by solidifying the molten metal 1, a pushing rod 6 inserted into the flowing-out hole from the upper part of the sliding nozzle, is pushed to the solidified metal to forcibly form the opening hole part so as to flow out the molten metal from this opening hole part.
