摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the energy absorption shaft for seat belt having no loss in material and a low cost and capable of working continuously to a final shape from a stock. SOLUTION: In a prescribed cold forging station among plural stages in a multistage type cold forging device, a shaft part is formed from a stock by a punch unit and a die unit, further an intermediate formed stock, in which a first engaging part is formed to the end part of a punch unit side of the shaft part, is formed. In the cold forging station at more downstream side than the prescribed cold station, by a die unit 15 arranged with a punch unit 25 and a split opening/closing die 71, the energy absorption shaft for seat belt formed with a second engaging part is formed at the end part opposite to the first engaging part of the intermediate formed stock.
