PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make effectively extinguishable an A-type fire (general solid fire) with a small quantity by making a fire extinguisher contain ammonium salt of methylphosphate ester. SOLUTION: Ammonium salt of methylphosphate ester and monoethanol amine are neutralized with phosphoric acid. Further, about one to three kinds selected from the materials to which aqueous ammonia is added and a fluorine surface active agent are mixed with the above to form a fire extinguisher composition. Thus, phosphor and nitrogen useful for an A-type fire are contained to improve the fire extinguishing effect for the A-type fire. The surface activating action having hydrophilic property and hydrophobic property is provided to easily wet the surface of a general fire material such as wood or the like and moisten the interior of the wood, thereby improving the fire extinguishing effect and flame-proof effect. Thus, the consumption of a fire extinguisher can be decreased and the fire extinguishing capability can be improved.
