PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum insulated container made of a metal which can be washed as a whole, while the cost can be reduced and also the external appearance can be improved. SOLUTION: A temporary fixing plate 20 for temporarily fix a solder material 6 for sealing an air release port 16 is attached to the inner side of an outer container 14. Thus the plate 20 is not exposed to the outside of a main body 11. Therefore, it is not required to specially provide a covering material on the plate 20 when exterior materials are formed on the container 14 and hence the number of components can be reduced and also the container can be washed as a whole.
