PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable wall capable of setting a large swing and motion amount and preventing its appearance from becoming ugly by positioning a slide wall in a central part at all times. SOLUTION: This expandable wall 1 connects wall faces of a veranda wall and an aisle wall 5 of right and left buildings 3 built through joint parts 2 so as to expand and shrink. The expandable wall 1 consists of a cylindrical fixed side wall 7 on one side in which a rear end part is attached to a wall face at a joint part end of the building 3 on one side in such a way that a tip part can turn in the horizontal direction, a cylindrical slide wall 8 in which a tip part comes in and out from a tip part of the fixed side wall 7 on one side, a cylindrical fixed wall 10 on the other side in which a rear end part is attached to a wall face at a joint part end of the building 3 on the other side so that the tip part coming in and out from the tip part of the slide wall 8 can turn in the horizontal direction, and a link mechanism 11 whose one end is attached inside the fixed side wall 7 on one side and other end is attached to the fixed side wall 10 on the other side and which positions the slide wall 8 in substantially central part between the fixed side wall 7 on one side and the fixed side wall 10 on the other side at all times.
