PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cutter which can be composed compact and simple, and can securely hold a winding substance so as to prevent its removal. SOLUTION: In a taper cutter 1 in which a holder 2 to hold a winding substance made by winding an adhesive tape 80 in the condition to form a center hole 83 whose both ends are opened; and a cutter 3 provided by being connected to the holder 2, and to cut the adhesive tape 80 drawn out from the winding substance 82; are provided, the holder 2 is composed by providing a cylindrical supporting body 4 which is inserted from one side opening of the center hole 83, and to hold the winding substance 82 held rotatable by contacting to the inner peripheral surface of the center hole 83; and an elastic piece 6 having an engaging part 7 to play the removal preventing of the winding substance 82 by engaging to the opening peripheral edge of the other end of the center hole 83 of the winding substance 82 which is supported by the supporting body 4; and it is composed to release the engaging condition of the engaging part 7 and the winding substance 82 by bending the elastic piece 6 to the inner side.
