PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical automatic warehouse which allows effective land utilization, costs little for building, and can increase a transfer amount of an article to be transferred by increasing a number of stations. SOLUTION: This automatic warehouse comprises a track 1 which is a combination of a straight track 1a and a turning track 1b to form the track 1 as a closed circuit, a carriage 3 moving on the track 1 with an article to be transferred 2 loaded thereon, a straight track part station 4 which is placed in a side of the straight track 1a orthogonal thereto and handles the article to be transferred 2, and a building 5 accommodating them. The automatic warehouse is further provided with a turning track part station 6 which is placed in a side of the turning track 1b connected to the straight track 1a in parallel with the straight track part station 4 and handles the article to be transferred 2, and a connecting carriage 7 which moves between a side of a tip 1c of the straight track 1a (point A) and a front of a tip 6a of the turning track part station 6 (point B) with the article to be transferred 2 loaded thereon.
