PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle raising and lowering device by which the suitable saddle adjustment is automatically performed according to the traveling state and safe and efficient traveling can be performed at all times. SOLUTION: This saddle raising and lowering device is constituted of saddle raising and lowering means 22, 25, 27 and 28 for increasing and decreasing the height of a saddle, operating means 14, 15, 17, 28A and 29 for moving the saddle raising and lowering means, control parts 9 to 14 for controlling the operating means, sped detecting means 5, 6 for detecting the traveling speed, and saddle position detecting means 16, 19. The operating means are controlled according to the traveling speed detected by the speed detecting means, and the height of the saddle is automatically adjusted.
