PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable printing of various kinds of sheet ranging from thin to thick to be shared by a single printing cylinder. SOLUTION: In the printing cylinder arranged in a sheet printer, a printing cylinder body 1 is constituted of a pair of disclike guides 4b disposed opposite to each other on both end parts of a rotary shaft and a groove is formed, in the circumferential direction, on the opposite faces of the disclike guides 4b. At the same time, sliders 5 to be bridged between the paired disclike guides 4b are installed in the groove through both end parts thereof, and are made to support a specified position for a foldable cylinder surface formation body 6a. The cylinder surface formation body 6a is deployed by moving the sliders 5 in a direction where the sliders 5 gradually leave along the groove and thus a cover is formed around the rotary shaft to obtain the printing cylinder for a thin sheet. Further the cylinder surface formation body 6a is folded to form a printing cylinder for a thick sheet by moving the sliders 5 along the groove in a direction where the sliders 5 get closer to the groove.
