PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be good in preventing the adhesion of contaminants such as black stains, to remove stains easily, to give a good antibacterial effect, and to have a sufficient post-processing aptitude by forming a coating layer added with a water-repellent material and an antibacterial material on the outer surface of a plastic container. SOLUTION: In a method, a coating layer added with a water-repellent material and an antibacterial material is formed on the outer surface of a container. On the surface of the container, since the contact angle of water is increased by the water-repellent material, stains can hardly adhere to the surface and can be removed easily even when adhered to the surface. Contamination by microorganisms can be reduced remarkably by the antibacterial material on the surface. The surface, after being sprayed with an organic polymer solution added with the water-repellent material and the antibacterial material in advance, is irradiated with ultraviolet rays so that the coating layer is formed on the surface. In this way, cleaning properties, antibacterial properties, and mildew-proofing properties can be obtained.
