PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively suppress the consumption power, and improve the heat insulation performance by forming a protective frame in a double structure having an air heat insulating layer inside, in a rice cooker wherein an internal pot housed in an internal container is induction-heated by an induction heating coil held by the protective frame which forms the lower part of the internal container. SOLUTION: In a container main body 1, the internal container 4 comprising a protective frame 2 and an internal drum 3, is set, and also, in the internal container 4, the internal pot 5 is housed and closed with a lid body 6. In this case, the protective frame 2 is formed of an upper frame 7 and a lower frame 8, and an air heat insulating layer 9 is arranged in the tray-shaped internal space. When power is supplied to an induction heating coil 11, the internal pot 5 is induction-heated, and a rice cooking is started. Also, when the rice cooking is completed, by turning on a heater 12, the internal pot 5 is kept warm through the internal drum 3. The radiant heat generated from the internal pot 5, is shut off by the air heat insulating layer 9 on the bottom surface side, and shut off by a heat insulating cylindrical part 15 on the side surface side. Therefore, the heat insulation performance of the internal pot 5 is improved, and the consumption power of the rice cooker can be suppressed.
