PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new nucleic acid molecule containing a sequence composed of a cDNA, a genome DNA or a pseudogene DNA of hStAR or a sequence having high homology to the sequence or a sequence complementary to the sequence, useful for diagnosing diseases accompanying congential lipoid adrenal hyperplasia, etc. SOLUTION: This new isolated DNA or RNA molecule contains a first sequence composed of a hStAR cDNA, hStAR genome DNA or hStAR pseudogene, a second sequence being a subsequence of the first sequence, having at least >=10 nucleoside length, a third sequence in which at least one nucleotide of the first sequence or the second sequence is replaced with a different nucleotide, a fourth sequence in which at least one nucleotide is deleted or inserted into the first or the second sequence or a fifth sequence complementary to any of the first the second or the third sequence and is useful for diagnosing diseases accompanying congential lipoid adrenal hyperplasia and as an index of genetic transfer possibility of the diseases. |
