<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a new energy resource and to efficiently fix carbon dioxide in the ground at the same time. SOLUTION: This system utilizing methane hydrate as fuel is provided with a heat utilizing system 2 set on the land, a means (including a transport 10) for compressing and boosting the carbon dioxide from the heat utilizing system 2 and supplying it to a mining base 1 on the sea, a means (including a carbon dioxide injection pipe 4) for injecting the carbon dioxide into a mining point P in the methane hydrate bed 31 present under the sea bottom to fix it as carbon dioxide hydrate and decomposing the methane hydrate at the mining point P into water and methane by the heat generated from the hydrate forming reaction, a means (including a methane recovery pipe 3) for recovering the methane to the mining base 1 from the mining point P and a means (including a transport 9) for supplying the methane to the heat utilizing system 2.</p> |
