PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high corrosion resistance Zn-Mg-Al plated steel sheet in which the corrosion resistance of a planar part and cut edge faces is excellent more than that of the conventional one. SOLUTION: This plated steel sheet is the one provided with a plating layer composed of, by weight, 1 to 5% Mg, 1 to 7% Al, and the balance Zn with inevitable impurities, in the plating layer, the distributions of Mg and Al are uniform, and it is excellent in corrosion resistance. Moreover it is the one provided with a plating layer composed of 2 to 4% Mg, 4 to 7% Al, and the balance Zn with inevitable impurities in the plating, the distributions of Mg and Al are furthermore uniform, and, in corrosion-resistance, it is particularly excellent in the corrosion resistance in the cut edge faces. Furthermore, as the lower layer of the plating layer, an Ni plating layer is provided by 0.2 to 2 g/m2.
