PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a useful liver medicine by including a straight-chain peptide known as cadystin. SOLUTION: This liver medicine contains a straight-chain peptide of the formula ((n) is >=2) (hereinafter called cadystin). Cadystin is obtained by previously culture a fission yeast (Schizosaccharomyces pombe L972 h-strain) in a general medium YPD containing various polysaccharides overnight, then powerfully stirring the culture product sufficiently aerating it, culturing the culture product for 6-8 hours, washing the cell with water twice, centrifuging the cell at 3,000 rpm/5 minutes, precipitating the yeast, freezing, preserving and collecting the yeast.
