PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten especially a supporting rod of attraction pad on a robot hand by eliminating abuses caused by a magnetic separator of a positionally fixed stationary type. SOLUTION: In this device, a magnetic separator 1 disposed adjacent to a stack S formed by stacking a plurality of blank materials is liftably-supported on a guide bracket 2 through a brake unit 3. Interlocking with the pickup operation of the blank material B by a robot hand 18, a release rod 12 is pushed down by a push rod 22 to release braking force by the brake unit 3 and lower the magnetic separator 1 gradually by its dead weight.
