PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent grating suitable to a cover for a ditch, a drain port or a catchment installed especially in a walkway, a park or other open spaces and to a fence for protecting street trees, because water permeable coefficient, strength and a sliding resistance value during wetting are not only excellent but also no fouling occurs in long-term use and water permeability and sound absorbing effect less deteriorate. SOLUTION: A grating is provided with water permeable ceramic blocks 1 formed with at least one of crushings of ceramic materials, sludge incineration residue molten slug, steel slug and recycled natural stones as aggregates and combined by sintering binder. It includes fixed layers 5 at the lower parts of the blocks 1 and metal frames 2 located on the lower faces and the side faces of the fixed layers 5 and the side faces of the blocks and having draining mechanisms.
