<p>A fin-sealed, flat-topped, liquid-packaging carton with substantially triangular flaps (61) of its top end closure turned down and tacked to adjacent body panels (5) has the horizontal part of its fin 60 heat-and-pressure adhered to the top wall 20,24 along approximately only that half of its length further from the triangular flap 61 which will provide a pouring spout, so that turning upwards of the spout end of the fin 60 from its position flat against the top wall 20,24 tends to pull upwards the central part of the top wall 20,24. Two score lines 52 and 53 extending divergingly from the spout end of the top wall 20,24 at respective opposite sides of the fin 60 to respective corners of the opposite end of the top wall 20,24 are thereby broken outwards rather than inwards. <IMAGE> <IMAGE></p> |
