PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internally threaded fishing rod capable of reducing water taken into a rod pipe, improving an ability for repelling the water, avoiding the damages to both fishing line guide projections and fishing line, enabling the smooth unreeling and reeling of the fishing line, and improving productivity. SOLUTION: In this internally threaded fishing rod, fishing line guide projections G1 are integrally formed on the inner surface of the rod pipe R1 in a spiral or circular form. The cross-sectional shape of the fishing line guide projection G1 is an approximately rectangular trapezoid whose surface on the rod tip side is a surface 1c approximately rectangular to the inner surface of the rod pipe and whose surface on the rod butt side is a surface 1b sharply inclined to the inner surface of the rod pipe. At least the inclined surface 1b is formed as a water-repelling surface.
