PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide highly stretchable nonwoven fabric useful as materials of construction. SOLUTION: This nonwoven fabric is produced by commingling (A) 10-90 wt.% fusing conjugated fiber with (B) 90-10 wt.% thermoplastic fiber. The nonwoven fabric has an entangled structure where part of fibers penetrate the nonwoven fabric from the right side to the underside, fibers are dispersed three-dimensionally, intersection points among fibers are in a thermobonding state and the following relation is satisfied: (MD toughness×CD toughness)/(basis weight) >=2.8 where MD toughness and CD toughness are products of strength (kg/5 cm) with elongation at break (%) of respective the machine direction(MD) and its cross direction(CD).
