PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having excellent heat-resistance and a pneumatic tire produced by using the composition. SOLUTION: The objective composition satisfies the following condition. In a diagram showing the change of dynamic storage modulus with temperature measured by increasing the temperature, the temperature of the intersection of the extension A of the dynamic storage modulus line before the steep decline of the modulus at a temp. of >=100 deg.C and the extension B of the dynamic storage modulus line of the steeply declining part is >=170 deg.C.
