PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable use in a small size recording apparatus, a standard recording apparatus, or the like, by providing a second ink tank to a first ink tank replaceably. SOLUTION: A supply nozzle part 32a of a second ink tank (sub ink tank) 32 is interlocked with an opening part 31c of a first ink tank (main ink tank) 31b with the tip end of the supply nozzle part 32a contacted with an absorbent 31d in the main ink tank 31b. If a plug seal 33 attached to a part of the sub ink tank 32 is removed with the main ink tank 31b and the sub ink tank 32 interlocked, a ventilation hole 32b is opened to the atmosphere. Then, ink 32c in the sub ink tank 32 is supplied to the absorbent 32d in the main ink tank 31 via the supply nozzle part 32a. A small cartridge 31 attached with the sub ink tank 32 can be used in a standard recording apparatus, and the small cartridge 31 without the sub ink tank 32 can be used in a portable small apparatus. |
