PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet plotter for writing monochromatic or multicolor character, numeral, symbol figure, pattern or a mixture thereof freely and selectively. SOLUTION: The ink jet plotter comprises means 100 for exchanging each of m print heads 50 carried on a carriage 30 while being staggered with a print head 50 ejecting ink of same or different color, means 200 for controlling the print head to eject ink of desired color from a desired nozzle on the lower surface of each of m exchanged print head 50 to the surface of a sheet 10 mounted on a platen 20, and means 300 for moving the carriage 30 relatively on the sheet 10 in Y direction. While traveling the carriage 30 on the sheet 10 in X direction, the control means 200 controls the print head to eject ink of desired color from a desired nozzle on the lower surface of each of m exchanged print head 50 filled with ink of same or different color carried replaceably on the carriage 30. |
