PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer an automobile into an optional parking position by one transfer truck by disposing a moving cage elevatingly at a rotatable-traversable conveyor, and transferring the automobile by a self-advancing transfer truck between the moving cage and a parking shelf. SOLUTION: A moving cage 3 is elevatingly disposed at a rotatable- traversable carrier 1, and an automobile is mounted on a transfer truck 2 and transferred into an optional parking position of parking shelves 4 laminated in multiple stages. The transfer truck 2 mounts the automobile by elevating tire support bars to grip the tires of the automobile, and self-advances between the moving cage 3 and the parking shelf 4 to transfer the automobile to tire support bars provided in the parking position of the parking shelf 4. The tire support bar for a front wheel comprises three support bars, and the position of the center support bar is lowered to grip the tire so as to lock the automobile out of motion. The automobile can therefore be transferred into the optional parking position using one transfer truck 2 without a pallet. It can also be so constituted that the parking shelves 4 are formed in circular shape and that the conveyor 1 is disposed at the center part.
