PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onion-processing device capable of automatically cutting the roots of an anion only by setting the onion to a prescribed place and thereby capable of reducing the labors of a worker and improving the efficiency of works by forming the device in a specific structure. SOLUTION: This onion-processing device is provided with a brushing means for brushing up the root group C of an onion A from the periphery, a brushing means-driving source for driving the brushing means, a cutting tool 44, such as scissors, for cutting the base portion of the brushed root group in such a posture as nipping the base portion, and a cutting tool-driving source for driving the cutting tool 44. Therein, the brushing means comprises plural rotary rolls 21, 23 collected so that the outer peripheries of the rolls surround the base portion of the root group C of the onion A, and the rotary rolls comprise rotary brushes whose peripheries are flocked.
