PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the formation of fibril by treating a lyocell cellulose fiber with an alkali bath containing a specific compound before dyeing or simultaneously with dyeing. SOLUTION: A lyocell cellulose fiber is treated with an alkaline medium of sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide or the like containing 0.1-15 wt.%, preferably 1-10 wt.%, more preferably 2-6 wt.% of at least one kind of a compound the formula [R1 and R2 are each a halogen or a sulfo-substituted phenylamino; R3 and R4 are each nonsubstituted phenyl, a 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy, an acylamino or the like; A1 and A2 are each O, S or NR5 (R5 is H or a 1-4C alkyl); A3 and A4 are each O, S or NR5; B is an aromatic cross-linking member or the like] before dyeing or at the same time with the dyeing. The compound of the formula can be applied to the lyocell fiber after spinning and in an undried state. |
