PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further expedite opening of a valve element of a steam valve in case of opening the valve element again after closing it rapidly by providing a dump valve between an oil cylinder and a quick actuated solenoid valve, and providing an emergency cutoff valve at a hydraulic system connected to the quick actuated solenoid valve, making a detour from between the oil cylinder and the dump valve. SOLUTION: In a steam valve control device with a servo valve 22, a quick actuated solenoid valve 23 and an emergency cutoff valve 21 combined with an oil cylinder 19 for driving to open/close a valve element 25 of a steam valve 24, a dump valve 20 is provided between the oil cylinder 19 and the quick actuated solenoid valve 23, and the emergency cutoff valve 21 is provided at a hydraulic system connected to the quick actuated solenoid valve 23, making a detour from between the oil cylinder 19 and the dump valve 20. Accordingly, when the steam valve 24 is rapidly closed and then opened again, its valve element 25 can be opened even more rapidly. The valve opening time of the valve element of the steam valve 24 after closing is further shortened so as to be sufficiently synchronous with the output demand of a power system. Restarting operation of a steam turbine can therefore be performed rapidly.
