PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf board for a closet capable of being packaged in a stable form and being difficult to be damaged at the time of packaging and transport and a packaging method thereof. SOLUTION: Grooves 101, 102 for folding formed to the rear of a substrate 10 are closed and connected and an approximately U-shaped sectional stile recessed section 14 is formed of a shelf section 11, a stile front-end section 12 and a stile lower-end section 13, and a reinforcing material 2 is joined so that each surface is brought into contact with the rears of the shelf section 11, the stile front-end section 12 and the stile lower-end section 13 in the stile recessed section 14 in the shelf board 1 for the closet. The length X of the stile lower-end section 13 in the longitudinal direction of the shelf board 1 for the closet is formed in size smaller than the total length Y of the length of the lower end face 21 of the reinforcing material 2 and the thickness of the stile front-end section 12. An approximately L-shaped stepped section 3 is formed between the front end face 131 of the stile lower-end section 13 and the lower end face 21 of the reinforcing material 2.
