PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a copying paper used for the back carbon copying. SOLUTION: A back carbon copying paper is provided with an ink acceptive layer formed of a pigment and a bonding agent as main components and formed on one face of the paper and a barrier layer composed of a water-soluble bonding agent as a main component is formed on the other face, and the paper is of 30-60 g/m2 basis weight manufactured by a twin wire paper manufacturing machine, the roughness index Vr of the applied an ink acceptive layer measured by the Bristow's method of the ink acceptive layer (using dibutylphthalate under the pressure 0.1 MPa) is 3-10 ml/m2, and the degree of air permeation after forming the ink acceptive layer and a barrier layer is 400-1500 seconds in a back carbon copying paper.
