PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the measurement of the behavior of a check ring during injection and during plasticization with a cylinder and a screw used as usual. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for measuring the behavior of a check ring which is fitted to the head part of a screw set in a cylinder barrel and opens/ closes a resin passage, a magnet is embedded in the inner peripheral surface the check ring 24, and a magnetostrictive probe 42 is inserted at least into the central part of the screw head part 14. A detection means is provided in order to detect the magnetostriction of the magnetostrictive probe 42 associated with the change of a relative position of the check ring 24 to the screw head part 14 during injection and plasticization measurement.
