<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing Al-less stainless steel high in cleanliness and few in surface defects caused by Al2O3 inclusions. SOLUTION: At the time of subjecting molten steel of stainless steel deoxidized with an Si source as a deoxidizer after decarburizing refining to continuous casting via a tundish, as flux used in the tundish, tundish flux having a compsn. satisfying CaO/SiO2: <=2.5 and Al2O3: <=5 wt.% is used, and the continuous casting is executed. It is preferable that deoxidizing refining is executed under slag having a compsn. satisfying (CaO)/(SiO2): 1.2 to 2.0 and (Al2O3): <=10 wt.%.</p> |
