PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent defect of a weft by introducing leaning control into shedding control of a heddle or heald frame and making real behavior pattern converging to an optimum pattern. SOLUTION: This shedding motion of a loom is equipped with a linear motor for reciprocating a heddle or a heald frame, a position detector for detecting the position of the heddle or the heald frame and a controlling circuit for previously fixing and storing optimum pattern command value of behavior of the heddle or the heald frame and calculating the error between real position data from the position detector and fixed command value of optimum pattern for a prescribed period from start of driving of the heddle or the heald frame, correcting command value to be outputted in order to eliminate the error, outputting the command value after correction to control the linear motor.
