PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent heat-sensitive recording paper from curling and absorbing moisture in a paper feeding cassette, and attain smooth paper feeding. SOLUTION: A plurality of stacked color heat-sensitive recording paper sheets 15 are pressed by a pressure plate 22 with the surface of the recording paper facing upward. A paper presser 30 moves between a pressing position on the color heat-sensitive recording paper sheets 15 and a retreating position at a distance from the color heat-sensitive recording paper sheets 15. When paper feeding operation stops, the paper presser 30 is set to the pressing position to sandwich the stacked color heat-sensitive recording paper sheets 15 between the pressure plate 22 and it. The intervals between the color heat-sensitive recording paper sheets 15 are, therefor, brought into close contact with each other, thus it is possible to prevent the recording paper sheets from curling and absorbing moisture. The paper presser 30 moves toward the retreating position at the time of feeding paper. During the paper feeding paper operation, frictional resistance between the color heat-sensitive recording paper sheets 15 is suppressed for smooth paper feeding.
